Australia 1914 First Airmail 1d Roo Cover, 2 Known, Superb

1914 MAURICE GUILLAUX FLIGHT MELBOURNE - SYDNEY: Wonderful envelope carried on this, THE FIRST AUSTRALIAN OFFICIAL AIRMAIL, franked with Kangaroo 1d red tied by superb strike of the special oval cancellation AUSTRALIAN / AERIAL MAIL / MELBOURNE / 16-JUL-1914 / VIC in violet. Relevant Sydney arrival mark on reverse. The mail carried on the Bleriot monoplane comprised approximately 1785 items almost all being souvenir postcards.
