1894 DEED OF HYPOTHECATION with the stamp duty of £7 & 2/- paid by a wonderful combination of QV Unappropriated Die £5, £1's & 2/- all neatly cancelled in manuscript. In this instance the hypothecation was for an amount of £1700 with the duty based on a rate of £5 for the first £1000 and 6/- for each additional £100 or part thereof.
