Cape of Good Hope 1773 Governors Letter Baron Van Plettenberg

c1773 GOVERNOR'S LETTER (VAN PLETTENBERG): Delightful folded letter wrapper addressed in French to "Monsieur Van Plettenberg governeur au Cap de Bonne Esperance". Van Plettenberg was Governor for the period 1773-1797 and his surviving correspondence is rare. Intact red wax seal on reverse. A fine example of a Van Plettenberg letter from the Dutch Colonial period.
