Malta 1874 GB Used In: 4d 's, A25 Duplex, Tajar Entire Letter

GB USED IN: 1874 Folded entire to Livorno franked pair wing-margined GB 4d vermilion plate 13 used with A25 / Malta SP 15 74 Duplex cancellations, nice bold strikes. Couple filing folds, good appearance, scarce. (SG Z49). The letter in Yiddish is written by Jacob di Josef Tajar, likely the son of Josef Tajar who in 1846 became the Island's first official Rabbi since the Inquisition.
