1902 DIE PROOF of KEVII head CENTRAL VIGNETTE as used for the values to 4/-. In black on glazed card dated (in blue) 8 JAN. 02 and marked BEFORE HARDENING.Endorsed at base "Natal Key Die". Vignette dies were produced in substantially lower numbers relative to frame plate dies. F-VF, a very rare vignette die proof, for some reason even more so than the sibling in larger format.
