1937 Incoming cover from South Africa (franked 1d Ship, Cape Town machine cancels 11.XI.37) addressed to NKANA where Postage Due raised and Tax Mark "1d" applied. The amount due was paid with BISECTED 2D POSTAGE DUE (SG D2a) which is tied by Nkana cds, day date 15... is discernible. VF, rare. (cv£750). Footnote in SG records use of these 2d's bisected in Luanshya and Nkana.
