Orange Free State 1905 British Association Tour, Rare

1905 BRITISH ASSOCIATION ORC: The rare cancellation on cover, the postmark being used in Bloemfontein for two days only between September 2nd to 4th. ORC KEVII ½d stationery envelope (Quik E2) franked full set KEVII ½d - 5/- (SG 139-147) superbly tied by nine strikes of the FIRST DAY POSTMARK dated SE 2 1905. The British Association for the Advancement of Science was there for only THREE DAYS from September the 2nd to the 4th and a temporary post office using this special relief type canceller was opened for the occasion in the Bloemfontein Raadzaal from 8:30 on 2nd September until 10:45 4th September; it was however closed on Sunday 3rd September. Superb, a rare philatelic souvenir of the event.
