Somaliland 1936 KEVIII Essay Proof, Rare

1936 KEVIII ESSAY PROOF: Circular vignette frame with "SOMALILAND PROTECTORATE" below, in black on gummed paper 19x20mm. Diagonal bend. A very rare proof from the proposed Colonial issues intended for the reign of KEVIII (who abdicated). These inscriptions prepared for a small number of Protectorates/Colonies with the intention to use them on a common keyplate background.
