Message side reads: "c/o The National Bank, Cape Town, 2nd October 1918. My dear Russel, I am sending you this card, as I know you will like to keep it in your collection. Of course, the aeroplane won't to drop it into your hands as it passes "Edgehill", but still the machine will carry it and the PO people will deliver it to you. Love, your affectionate Daddy."
