1948 KGVI Royal Silver Wedding 3d COLOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC ESSAY for the adopted design (SG 125) taken in deep greenish grey-blue. The primary proof as yet untouched-up with the silver highlighting on wreaths. Sized as issued and set onto perforations, the whole composite mounted on black card 36x43mm. A magnificently attractive proof for this issue. Superb, rare. Proof material from the Government Printer - who was responsible for production of South Africa's stamps in this period - is uncommon.
