South West Africa 1909 Walfish Bay Manuscript Cancellation

1909 WALFISH BAY MANUSCRIPT CANCELLATION: Cape of Good Hope QV ½d stationery envelope pencil-addressed to the ship "Panther, Walfishbay" bearing three line manuscript cancel "Walfish/Bay/26/6/09". No other markings. Superb, rare. These cancellations came about due to a fire destroying the Post Office at Walfish Bay with resultant disruption to orderly execution of postal matters.
