1880 Envelope from Lydenburg to England "Via Kimberley & Cape" franked at the 1/- rate (from April 1st 1880) with single lower right corner QV Bourne Head 1/- green (SG 161) tied by crisp strike of triple ring numeral 13 with Lydenburg cds OCT 18 alongside. Indistinct transits on reverse with Southall arrival NO 23. as backstamps. F-VF, minor perimeter imperfections, a pleasing example, great representation of the Lydenburg postmarks, scarce.
