1880 COMBINATION FRANKING LETTER from Pretoria to England bearing Transvaal QV Bourne Head 6d (cancelled numeral 1) and Cape 4d & 4x½d's totalling 6d (the latter paying ship letter rate to UK, Cape stamps being required from 13 May 1878). The Cape stamps cancelled by Cape Town BONC 1 and at centre cds JA 12. Backflap and perimeter imperfections not apparent to front.
