Transvaal 1899 Commandant Generaal Cachet Letter

BOER CENSORSHIP: 1899 Stampless cover from Pretoria (cds 29 Dec) to France with fine strike in violet of the rare circular COMMANDANT GENERAAL CACHET dated 29 DEC 1899. This handstamp was used as a censor marking on Officer's POW mail from the Model School camp until the camp's closure on 16th March 1900 (prior to the introduction of regular censor marks).
