1863 1/- lilac/mauve, imperforate, WATERMARK REVERSED (SG 73bx) handstamped SPECIMEN (Samuel type D5). F-VF part OG. A very rare De La Rue file specimen of which Samuel suggests between 1-6 copies would at this period have been so produced. Ex Sir John Marriott. See additional image below.
