Trinidad 1863-72 6d & 1/- De La Rue File Specimens

1863 6d emerald-green & 1872 1/- chrome-yellow both perf 12½ (SG 72&74) each handstamped CANCELLED (Samuel type D6). F-VF unused, some perfs trimmed as usually seen on these. The 6d may have been prepared as a sample specimen of an engraved stamp. A rare pair of De La Rue file specimens of which Samuel suggests between 1-6 copies would at this period have been so produced. See additional image below.
