Zululand 1879 Zulu War Officer's Letter

1879 ZULU WAR: OFFICER'S LETTER endorsed "To be Forwarded" and "On Active Service, Zulu Land" and sent at the SIXPENNY RATE (Natal QV 6d "POSTAGE" ovpt cancelled "1" with GPO (Pietermaritzburg) cds 28 5 1879 on reverse. The sender was a member of the 13th Prince Albert's Light Infantry. Addressed to London, arrival PAID cds 24 JU 79 on front. A rare campaign cover written WITHIN THE PERIOD OF THE WAR which ended with the battle of Ulundi on 4th July 1879. Some imperfections, generally F-VF. A rare piece. See additional image below.
