1888-93 QV 2d - 1/-. Group of six values comprising 2d, 2½d, 3d, 5d, 9d & 1/- generally F/M large part OG (suffusion to 5d) MANUSCRIPT SPECIMENS, Samuel Type DMS. Applied to De La Rue stamps in the course of production samples either to be sent for outside approval or retained in the printer's archive. The distinctive hand is that described by Hart and is as the set exhibited by Sergay assembled from examples in the Danson & Robson collections (copy Sergay page accompanies for reference).
