Zululand 1898 Double Rate Eshowe to USA, Early Use Natal Stamps

1898 Double rate envelope sent registered Eshowe to New York. Franked Natal QV 1d's (3) and 3d's (2) (SG 99,10) tied light Eshowe Type III cds JA 28. Durban transit. VF, attractive correctly rated use. Scarce early use of Natal stamps at Eshowe. Following incorporation of Zululand into Natal on 31 January 1897 Zululand stamps were replaced with those of Natal whilst Zululand stamps remained on sale until 30 June 1898.
